In Killers of the Flower Moon we have the story of a tribe of Native American Indians, the Osage. A tribe that were pushed by the North Americans to lands that, by chance, were full of oil which made it one of the richest towns in the United States at the time, and who began to die and be murdered without anyone do it anything and nobodies was questioned and where the police turned a blind eye.
The story is told through Ernest Burkhart (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), a war veteran who, after his services, doesn't really know what to do with his life and goes to live with his uncle, William Hale (Robert De Niro), an North American landowner who is considered a kind person by the entire tribe.
Of course, Martin Scorsese is my favorite director. Each of his productions is an ode to cinema, full of feeling and passion for the seventh art. Scorsese is now 81 years old and still remains at the forefront. At 3 and a half hours long, the film has such a frenetic rhythm that you don't realize how long you've been sitting watching it. It is not a light film to watch, and as always with this director, it is best to watch it in a theater or at home but without distractions, fully enjoying the film and letting ourselves go.
Lastly, I would like to talk about how the actors give absolutely everything. Not only those mentioned above, but also, and above them, the actress who plays Mollie, Ernest's wife: Lily Gladstone. Her role is incredibly difficult and she does it great. She brings a lot of nuances and just with her look she says a lot. It is without a doubt the best thing about the movie.
